  • 2 cups red cabbage (sliced) about 1/4 cabbage
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Instructions
 

  • Chop the red cabbage into thin slices and set aside.
  • Combine water, vinegar, sugar, and salt in a saucepan and bring to a simmer.
  • Pour the hot mixture over the cabbage in a bowl or jar, then transfer to a jar if needed.
  • Seal the jar and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving.

Notes

This quick pickle is best enjoyed within a week for maximum freshness.
