Ingredients

  • 1 cup steel cut oats
  • 2/3 cup toasted pecans (finely chopped)
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 2 teaspoons chai spice mix
  • Pinch salt
  • ½ cup raisins (optional)
  • 2 cups milk
  • ½ cup cream (or sub more milk instead)
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 2 tablespoons butter (melted)
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • ¼ teaspoon cinnamon

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-10 inch round baking dish.
  • In a large bowl, combine oats, pecans, maple syrup, chai spice, and raisins. Add milk, cream, vanilla, and melted butter; stir well. Pour into prepared dish.
  • Mix cinnamon and sugar; sprinkle evenly over the mixture. Bake for 55-60 minutes until golden and crispy on top.
  • Remove from oven, serve warm with toppings like milk, cream, or fresh fruit.

Notes

Feel free to add fresh fruit or a drizzle of honey for extra flavor.
