jasmine rice or medium-grain sushi rice

unsalted butter

low-sodium soy sauce

honey or brown sugar

fresh lemon juice

Instructions
Rinse rice until water runs clear; cook with 1.5 cups water per cup rice, then let rest and fluff.
Pat salmon dry, season with salt and pepper.
Melt butter, add garlic, soy sauce, honey, lemon juice; whisk to combine.
Heat oil in skillet, sear salmon skin-side down 4-5 mins, flip, baste with garlic butter, cook 3-5 mins.
Divide rice into bowls, top with salmon, drizzle with remaining garlic butter, add optional toppings.
Notes
For extra flavor, add a squeeze of fresh lemon or your favorite toppings.
