Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup hot water
  • 2 Tbsp Sugar
  • 2-3/4 tsp yeast (1 packet + 1/2 tsp)
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour OR bread flour
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1-1/2 tsp salt

Instructions
 

  • Mix hot water, sugar, and yeast. Let sit for 10 minutes to bloom.
  • Mix in oil, salt, and flour using a stand mixer with a dough hook or by hand.
  • Knead until dough forms and doesn't stick to the bowl, about 3-4 minutes.
  • Let dough rise in a draft-free area for 1.5 hours, or use a quick proof method.
  • Punch down, shape into a loaf, and let rise again for 1 hour.
  • Bake at 350°F for 25 minutes, or until internal temperature reaches 190°F.

Notes

For a quicker rise, use the yogurt setting on an Instant Pot or other proofing method.
