Instructions
Mix hot water, sugar, and yeast. Let sit for 10 minutes to bloom.
Mix in oil, salt, and flour using a stand mixer with a dough hook or by hand.
Knead until dough forms and doesn't stick to the bowl, about 3-4 minutes.
Let dough rise in a draft-free area for 1.5 hours, or use a quick proof method.
Punch down, shape into a loaf, and let rise again for 1 hour.
Bake at 350°F for 25 minutes, or until internal temperature reaches 190°F.
Notes
For a quicker rise, use the yogurt setting on an Instant Pot or other proofing method.
