Ingredients
  

  • 3 to 4 bananas ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 and 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans optional

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan or line with parchment paper.
  • Mash 3-4 ripe bananas in a large bowl. Add melted butter and mix until smooth.
  • Add sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract. Mix until well combined.
  • Whisk together flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Fold into the banana mixture until just combined.
  • Fold in nuts if using. Pour batter into the prepared pan and bake for 55-65 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.

Notes

For an extra crunch, toast the nuts before adding them to the batter.
