Ingredients
  

Sauce ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 pound flank steak thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon rice vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar or honey
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

Main ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups white rice
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 1 red bell pepper diced
  • 1 carrot julienned
  • 2 green onions sliced white parts only

Instructions
 

  • Cook rice in 3 cups water until tender, about 15 minutes.
  • Whisk soy sauce, rice vinegar, sugar, cornstarch, ginger, and garlic to make sauce.
  • Sear beef in sesame oil until browned, then add sauce and cook until thickened.
  • Stir-fry vegetables in same pan, then combine with beef and sauce.
  • Assemble bowls with rice, beef, vegetables, and garnish with green onions and sesame seeds.

Notes

Store leftovers in airtight containers for up to 4 days.
