Crispy and sweet air fryer churro bites, perfect for a delicious dessert or snack. These bite-sized treats are easy to make and require minimal ingredients.
Combine water, butter, salt, and sugar in a pan. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and gradually add flour, stirring until smooth dough forms. Remove from heat.
Let dough cool for 5 minutes, then add egg and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth.
Transfer dough to a piping bag. Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C). Pipe bite-sized churros into the basket, avoiding overcrowding.
Cook churros in the air fryer for 10-12 minutes until golden brown. Brush with butter during cooking if desired.
Coat cooked churros in a mixture of sugar and cinnamon powder. Serve warm with chocolate syrup, honey, or Nutella.
Notes
For best results, ensure the dough is not too sticky. If needed, add a little more flour. Churros are best served immediately after coating with cinnamon sugar.
