Ingredients
  

  • 1.5 cups all-purpose flour spoon and leveled
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter melted and cooled slightly
  • 0.25 cup vegetable oil
  • 0.75 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs at room temperature
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1.5 cups mashed ripe bananas about 3-4 medium sized bananas
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions
 

  • In a small bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
  • In a large bowl, combine butter, oil, sugar, eggs, and vanilla. Whisk to combine. Mix in mashed bananas.
  • Add the dry ingredients and chocolate chips to the wet ingredients. Mix until just combined. Do not overmix!
  • Pour the batter into a prepared loaf pan. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 50-60 minutes, or until a skewer comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  • Cool the bread in the pan until slightly warm or room temperature before slicing and serving.

Notes

Let the bread cool completely before slicing for best results.
