Danish Hearts

  • 1 sheet puff pastry thawed
  • 250 g cream cheese room temperature
  • 1/3 cup white sugar
  • 1 whole egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 whole egg wash 1 whole egg
  • 1/2 cup chopped strawberries
  • powdered sugar for topping

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F and prepare ingredients.
  • Mix cream cheese, sugar, egg, and vanilla until smooth; place in a Ziploc bag.
  • Roll out puff pastry, cut into heart shapes, and score edges.
  • Pipe custard onto hearts, top with strawberries, brush with egg wash, and sprinkle sugar.
  • Bake for 22-24 minutes until golden brown; sprinkle with powdered sugar and serve warm.
