  • 4 filets salmon filets
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • cup maple syrup or honey
  • 2 tablespoons BBQ sauce
  • ¼ cup water
  • chopped fresh parsley, for serving
  • lemon wedges, for serving
  • to taste kosher salt and pepper
  • as needed rice, for serving

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Season salmon with salt and pepper.
  • Heat a skillet over medium heat, melt butter, add garlic, and cook for 30 seconds. Stir in maple syrup, BBQ sauce, and water; bring to a boil then simmer.
  • Add salmon to skillet, spoon glaze over, and cook for 5 minutes.
  • Transfer skillet to oven and roast for 5-8 minutes until salmon is opaque and flakes easily.
  • Garnish with parsley, serve with lemon wedges and rice.

Notes

Ensure not to overcook the salmon for best texture.
