Sticky Beef Noodles

Ingredients
  

Meat

  • 1 pound flank steak, thinly sliced against the grain
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch

Cooking Oils

  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 2 teaspoons sesame oil

Vegetables

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
  • 8 ounces egg noodles or other noodles of choice
  • 1 small bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 1 small onion, thinly sliced
  • 0.5 cup snap peas or green beans, trimmed
  • 2 tablespoons sesame seeds (optional, for garnish)
  • 2 green onions chopped for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Toss sliced beef with soy sauce and cornstarch; marinate for 10-15 minutes.
  • Whisk together soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, brown sugar, rice vinegar, sesame oil, garlic, and ginger to make the sauce.
  • Cook noodles according to package; drain and set aside.
  • Stir-fry beef in oil until browned, then add vegetables and cook until tender-crisp.
  • Add noodles and sauce; toss to coat and heat through. Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions.

Notes

For extra flavor, marinate the beef longer or add chili flakes for heat.
