Instructions
Slice bananas and toss with sugars, butter, water, lemon juice, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt; let sit 15-20 mins.
Mix dry ingredients; whisk wet ingredients separately, then combine.
Pour banana filling into a 9x13 inch dish, then top with batter.
Sprinkle with turbinado sugar if desired, then bake at 375°F (190°C) for 35-45 mins until golden.
Cool for 15-20 mins, then serve warm with whipped cream or ice cream.
Notes
For best results, use ripe bananas and ensure the cobbler is golden brown before removing from oven.
