  • 2 teaspoons instant yeast
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup warm water 110°F/43°C
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter melted or Halal-friendly alternative
  • 1 egg egg (optional, for egg wash)

Instructions
 

  • Mix flour, sugar, yeast, and salt in a large bowl.
  • Add warm water and melted butter; knead until smooth and elastic.
  • Let the dough rise in a warm place for about 1 hour until doubled in size.
  • Divide dough into 8 equal portions, shape into buns, and place on a baking sheet.
  • Optional: Brush with egg wash and sprinkle sesame seeds on top.
  • Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 15 minutes until golden brown.
