Ingredients
  

  • 2.5-3 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 1 Tablespoon olive oil or vegetable oil
  • 1 Tablespoon white granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon pink salt
  • 2 teaspoon active dry yeast
  • 1 egg (beaten for top of bread) beaten for top of bread

Instructions
 

  • Activate the yeast by mixing it with warm water and sugar. Let it sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
  • Mix flour, salt, and yeast mixture. Add oil and combine until a dough forms.
  • Knead the dough for 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  • Let the dough rise in a warm place for 30 minutes until doubled in size.
  • Punch down the dough, shape into a loaf, and let rise for another 20 minutes.
  • Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 25-30 minutes until golden brown. Brush with beaten egg during the last 10 minutes.

Notes

Let the bread cool for at least 10 minutes before slicing for the best texture.
