Soft Flatbread Recipe

Ingredients
  

Dough

  • 1 cup Very Warm Water
  • 2-2.5 cups All-Purpose Flour plus extra if needed
  • 1 teaspoon Instant Yeast
  • 1 tablespoon Olive Oil
  • 1 teaspoon Salt

Instructions
 

  • Mix water, 2 cups flour, yeast, olive oil, and salt in a bowl.
  • Add more flour if needed until dough clears sides of bowl.
  • Knead for 5-10 minutes until smooth, then let rise until doubled (~1 hour).
  • Divide dough into 6-8 pieces, rest covered for 10 minutes.
  • Roll into 6-8 inch circles and cook on a hot skillet 2-3 minutes per side.
  • Stack cooked flatbreads and keep warm; store cooled flatbreads in a plastic bag.

Notes

Ensure skillet is hot enough to prevent drying out.
