Ingredients

  • 4 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 6 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • Fresh parsley, chopped
  • Optional: 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese optional

Instructions
 

  • Pat chicken dry, season with salt and pepper.
  • Heat oil in skillet, sear chicken 6-7 mins per side, set aside.
  • Melt butter, sauté garlic 1-2 mins.
  • Add broth, simmer 3 mins, then stir in cream, basil, oregano; cook 4-5 mins until thickened.
  • Return chicken to skillet, spoon sauce, cook 2-3 mins.
  • Garnish with parsley, serve hot.

Notes

For extra flavor, add Parmesan cheese during the sauce simmering step.
