Sausage Egg Casserole

Ingredients
  

Meat

  • 1 pound oz breakfast sausage
  • 8 large eggs
  • 3 cups cups bread cubes stale or toasted for better absorption
  • 1.5 cups cups cheddar cheese shredded
  • 1 cup cups milk
  • 1 teaspoon tsp salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon tsp black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons tbsp fresh parsley chopped, for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Cook sausage in a skillet until browned, then drain and cool.
  • Layer bread cubes and cooked sausage in a greased 9x13 dish.
  • Whisk eggs, milk, salt, and pepper; pour over layers.
  • Sprinkle cheese on top, cover, and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
  • Bake at 350°F for 40-45 minutes, then cool slightly.
  • Garnish with parsley, cut into squares, and serve.

Notes

For a healthier option, use turkey sausage and low-fat cheese.
