Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a 12-inch skillet with parchment or greasing.
Mix dry ingredients: flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and pumpkin spice.
Cream butter and sugars, then add eggs, vanilla, and pumpkin purée; mix well.
Gradually add dry mixture to wet, mixing just until combined. Fold in chocolate chips.
Spread batter in skillet, sprinkle extra chocolate chips on top, and bake for 40-50 minutes until golden.
Cool for 20 minutes, then serve warm with vanilla ice cream if desired.
Notes
For best results, use room temperature butter and fresh pumpkin purée.
