Tuna Melt Ingredients

  • 1 can tuna, drained 5 ounces
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon finely chopped celery
  • 1 tablespoon finely chopped onion
  • 1 teaspoon sweet pickle relish
  • to taste salt and pepper
  • 2 slices your favorite bread
  • 1 slice cheese (cheddar, swiss, or provolone)

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your broiler.
  • Combine tuna, mayonnaise, celery, onion, and relish in a bowl. Season with salt and pepper.
  • Toast one side of each slice of bread.
  • Spread tuna mixture on the untoasted side of one slice of bread and top with cheese.
  • Broil for 2-4 minutes until cheese is melted and golden brown.
  • Serve immediately.

Notes

Keep an eye on the broiler to prevent burning.
