Pear Walnut Bread

Ingredients
  

Dry ingredients

  • 3 cups unbleached all-purpose flour bleached flour toughens baked goods
  • 1.5 cups granulated sugar
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 2 tsp. ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. sea salt
  • 0.25 tsp. nutmeg

Wet ingredients

  • 4 large eggs
  • 0.75 cup canola oil or avocado oil
  • 0.33 cup sour cream
  • 1 tsp. pure vanilla extract

Fruits and nuts

  • 4 cups pears finely chopped (about 4 medium or 3 large pears)
  • 1.5 tsp. lemon juice
  • 1 cup walnuts coarsely chopped

Instructions
 

  • Mix dry ingredients in a large bowl.
  • Combine eggs, oil, sour cream, and vanilla; whisk well.
  • Peel, core, dice pears, and toss with lemon juice.
  • Mix wet and dry ingredients, then fold in pears and walnuts.
  • Spoon batter into greased mini loaf pans and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 35-45 minutes.
  • Cool for 10 minutes before removing from pans.

Notes

Ensure pears are finely chopped for even distribution.
