Ingredients
  

Protein

  • 1 pound raw shrimp, peeled and deveined

Oil & Butter

  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons butter

Citrus & Herbs

  • 1 lemon lemon, juiced and freshly zested
  • 6 cloves garlic, minced
  • 0.5 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes

Seasonings

  • to taste Kosher salt and pepper

Grains & Broth

  • 1 cup orzo
  • 2.25 cups chicken stock

Fresh Herbs

  • 3 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley

Instructions
 

  • Heat olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium heat until melted.
  • Season shrimp with garlic, salt, and pepper; cook 2-3 minutes per side until pink. Remove and set aside.
  • Add garlic and red pepper flakes; cook 1 minute until fragrant.
  • Stir in orzo; toast 1 minute, then add chicken stock. Simmer 10-12 minutes until tender.
  • Return shrimp to skillet, add lemon juice and parsley; mix well and serve hot.

Notes

Ensure not to overcook the shrimp for best texture.
