One pot creamy tomato beef pasta

A quick and hearty one-pot meal combining tender beef, pasta, and a creamy tomato sauce for a satisfying dinner.

Ingredients
  

olive oil

  • 1 1/2 tbsp olive oil

garlic

  • 2 cloves garlic cloves finely minced

onion

  • 1 piece onion finely chopped
  • 500 g beef mince / ground beef
  • 2 tsp Italian herbs Note 1
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 400 g crushed tomatoes or tomato passata
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes chilli flakes, optional
  • 1 1/2 tsp cooking salt / kosher salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 4 cups chicken stock / broth low sodium, 1 L
  • 350 g fusilli / penne / elbow macaroni or other short pasta
  • 3/4 cups heavy cream thickened / heavy cream

Parmesan cheese

  • to taste Parmesan cheese finely grated

Parsley

  • optional Parsley finely chopped

Instructions
 

  • Heat oil and sauté garlic and onion for 1.5 minutes.
  • Add beef, cook until no longer red, then stir in herbs, tomato paste, and cook for 1 minute.
  • Pour in crushed tomatoes, chicken stock, add salt, pepper, red pepper flakes, then add pasta. Simmer for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Stir in cream and cook for 1-2 minutes until saucy and pasta is tender.
  • Remove from heat, stir well, then serve topped with Parmesan and parsley.

Notes

Ensure pasta is cooked al dente for best texture.
