Ingredients
  

olive oil

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

chicken

  • 2 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts cut into bite-sized pieces

garlic

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

chicken broth

  • 3 cups chicken broth

pasta

  • 8 ounces penne pasta (uncooked)

heavy cream

  • 1 cup heavy cream

basil pesto

  • 1/2 cup basil pesto

Parmesan cheese

  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

cherry tomatoes

  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved

salt and black pepper

  • to taste Salt and black pepper

fresh basil leaves

  • for garnish Fresh basil leaves optional

Instructions
 

  • Heat olive oil in a large pot. Cook chicken until browned, then remove.
  • Sauté garlic in the same pot. Add broth and pasta; cook until al dente.
  • Stir in cream, pesto, and Parmesan until combined. Return chicken and tomatoes; cook briefly.
  • Serve hot, garnished with basil if desired.

Notes

Use fresh basil for best flavor and adjust seasoning as needed.
