Instructions
In a large pot, melt butter or heat olive oil over medium heat and sauté minced garlic until fragrant.
Add pasta, water, salt, black pepper, and Italian seasoning. Bring to a boil and cook until pasta is al dente, about 10 minutes.
Reduce heat to low, stir in milk and Parmesan cheese, and cook until the sauce thickens, about 3-5 minutes. Optional: add cream cheese or sour cream for extra creaminess.
Adjust seasoning as needed, garnish with chopped parsley or basil, and serve hot.
Notes
For a richer flavor, use freshly grated Parmesan and add a splash of extra milk if the sauce is too thick.
