One-Pan Creamy Shrimp with Lemon, Herbs, and White Rice

Ingredients
  

Protein

  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined

Cooking fats

  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter

Aromatics

  • 4 cloves garlic, minced

Spices

  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • 1 tsp dried basil

Seasonings

  • to taste Salt and black pepper

Cream and Cheese

  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese

Herbs and Lemon

  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice

Rice

  • 1 cup long grain white rice
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • to taste Salt

Instructions
 

  • Cook rice: boil water, add rice, butter, salt; simmer 18 mins, rest 5 mins.
  • Season shrimp with salt, pepper, paprika, thyme, basil.
  • Sauté shrimp in olive oil 2 mins per side; set aside.
  • In same pan, melt butter, sauté garlic 1 min, add cream and Parmesan; simmer 2-3 mins.
  • Return shrimp, add lemon juice and parsley; cook 1 min. Fluff rice and serve shrimp over rice.

Notes

Use fresh herbs for best flavor and adjust seasoning to taste.
