ground beef or thinly sliced beef strips

peeled and sliced into thin rounds

garlic

beef broth or stock

olive oil

teaspoon
paprika

teaspoon
dried thyme or rosemary

Instructions
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Sauté onion and garlic in 1 tbsp olive oil until fragrant. Add beef, season, cook until browned. Transfer to a plate.
In the same skillet, layer sliced potatoes, season, then spread beef mixture over them.
Pour beef broth over layers, cover, and bake for 45-50 minutes until potatoes are tender.
Remove cover, add cheese if desired, bake uncovered for 10 minutes until melted. Garnish with parsley and serve hot.
Notes
For extra flavor, add herbs or spices of your choice.
