One Bowl Brownies

  • 1 cup butter, (melted and slightly cooled)
  • 1 cup granulated white sugar
  • 1 cup packed dark brown sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup Dutch-processed or unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon espresso powder, (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 ¼ cups chopped chocolate, (divided)

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Prepare a 9x13 inch pan with parchment and spray.
  • Mix melted butter, sugars, eggs, and vanilla in a bowl until smooth.
  • Sift in flour, cocoa, salt, and espresso powder; stir until just combined. Fold in 1 cup chopped chocolate.
  • Spread batter into pan, sprinkle remaining chocolate on top, and bake for 25-30 minutes.
  • Let cool before cutting into squares. Optionally, sprinkle with flaky sea salt.

Use high-quality chocolate for best flavor.
