Ingredients
  

  • No-boil lasagna noodles
  • 1 pound ground beef (or a mix of ground beef and Italian sausage)
  • 1 onion finely chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 4 cups marinara sauce (or your homemade tomato sauce)
  • 15 ounces ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 egg
  • fresh parsley chopped (for garnish)
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Cook the meat sauce by sautéing onion and garlic, then adding ground beef and marinara sauce.
  • Prepare the ricotta mixture by combining ricotta cheese, egg, and half of the Parmesan cheese.
  • Layer the lasagna with meat sauce, noodles, ricotta mixture, mozzarella, and Parmesan cheese.
  • Bake covered for 25 minutes, then uncovered for an additional 15-20 minutes, or until bubbly and golden.
  • Let it sit for 10-15 minutes, garnish with parsley, and serve.

Notes

For an extra flavorful twist, use homemade tomato sauce instead of store-bought marinara.
