Ingredients
  

Pasta

  • 6 oz spaghetti or linguine
  • 1 can tuna in olive oil
  • 3 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes
  • ¼ cup pitted Kalamata olives
  • 1 tbsp capers
  • ½ tsp red pepper flakes
  • ½ lemon lemon for juice and zest
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley
  • Salt and black pepper Salt and black pepper to taste
  • ¼ cup reserved pasta water

Instructions
 

  • Cook pasta in salted boiling water until just shy of al dente; reserve ¼ cup of pasta water before draining.
  • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-low; sauté sliced garlic until soft.
  • Add cherry tomatoes, olives, capers, and red pepper flakes; cook 3-4 minutes until tomatoes blister.
  • Add drained tuna to skillet; warm for 1 minute.
  • Combine pasta, reserved water, and olive oil; toss to emulsify the sauce.
  • Finish with lemon juice, zest, parsley, and black pepper; serve immediately.

Use high-quality tuna and fresh herbs for best flavor.
