Ingredients
  

Pasta

  • 1 pound pasta
  • 1 can tuna, drained 5 ounce can
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Cook pasta according to package directions. Drain, reserving about 1/2 cup of pasta water.
  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  • Add minced garlic and red pepper flakes (if using) and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  • Add the drained tuna to the skillet and break it up with a spoon.
  • Stir in the lemon juice and cook for another minute.
  • Add the drained pasta to the skillet, toss to combine, and season with salt and pepper.

Notes

For extra flavor, add more lemon juice or fresh herbs.
