  • 2 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 tbsp olive oil or butter for searing
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tsp lemon zest
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 0.5 cup chicken broth
  • 3/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 8 oz linguine pasta
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Season chicken with salt and pepper. Sear in oil or butter until golden, then set aside.
  • In the same skillet, sauté garlic for 30 seconds, then deglaze with chicken broth.
  • Add lemon juice, zest, and butter; whisk until melted. Stir in cream and simmer until slightly thickened.
  • Stir in Parmesan cheese, then return chicken to the pan to reheat and coat with sauce.
  • Cook linguine until al dente, drain, then toss into the sauce with a splash of pasta water. Serve chicken over pasta, garnished with parsley.

Notes

For extra flavor, add a pinch of red pepper flakes or fresh basil.
