Ingredients
  

Pasta

  • 9 noodles lasagna noodles

Meat Sauce

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • ¾ cup chopped yellow onion
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 48 ounces marinara sauce
  • 1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
  • ¼ cup chopped fresh parsley

Cheese Mixture

  • 1 egg egg
  • 15 ounces ricotta cheese
  • 16 ounces shredded mozzarella cheese about 4 cups
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 375° F. Cook lasagna noodles according to package directions, then rinse with cold water.
  • Brown ground beef with onion and garlic, then add marinara sauce, Italian seasoning, and parsley. Simmer for 10-15 minutes.
  • Combine ricotta cheese with beaten egg. Shred mozzarella cheese.
  • Layer lasagna: sauce, noodles, ricotta mixture, and cheeses. Repeat layers twice more, finishing with cheese on top.
  • Cover with foil and bake at 375° F for 35 minutes. Uncover and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, until bubbly and lightly browned.
  • Let lasagna rest for 10 minutes before serving.
