Ingredients
  

Meat

  • 1 pound beef sirloin (thinly sliced)
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 inch ginger (grated)
  • 1 medium onion (sliced)
  • 1 carrot julienned
  • 2 green onions chopped
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • cooked rice for serving
  • Asian sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Mix soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, garlic, and ginger to create the marinade.
  • Marinate the sliced beef in the mixture for at least 15 minutes.
  • Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and cook the beef until browned, about 3-4 minutes.
  • Add sliced onion, julienned carrot, and chopped green onions; cook for another 2-3 minutes.
  • Serve the beef mixture over cooked rice and garnish with sesame seeds.

Notes

For extra flavor, marinate the beef longer or add a splash of Korean chili paste.
