  • 1.5 lb medium shrimp (peeled, deveined, tails removed)

Seasonings

  • 1 tsp salt (or to taste)
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper (or to taste)

Dairy & Oils

  • 4 Tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1 Tbsp olive oil

Garlic & Cream

  • 4 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 0.75 cup heavy cream (or dairy-free alternative)

Acid & Herbs

  • 2 Tbsp fresh lemon juice

Main

  • 3 cups cooked rice (jasmine or basmati)
  • 0.33 cup fresh parsley (finely chopped)
  • 2 Tbsp fresh dill (chopped (optional))
  • 0.5 tsp salt

Garnish & Serve

  • extra parsley extra fresh parsley (for garnish)
  • lemon wedges for serving lemon wedges (for serving)

Instructions
 

  • Season the shrimp with salt and black pepper.
  • In a large skillet, melt butter with olive oil over medium heat. Add garlic and cook until fragrant.
  • Add shrimp to the skillet and cook until pink and opaque, about 3-4 minutes per side.
  • Pour in heavy cream and lemon juice, simmer until slightly thickened. Stir in chopped parsley and dill.
  • Serve the shrimp mixture over cooked rice, garnished with extra parsley and lemon wedges.

Notes

Use fresh herbs for the best flavor and adjust seasoning to taste.
