Instructions
Melt the butter gently and let it cool slightly.
Mix flour, oats, sugar, and salt until sandy.
Press two-thirds of the mixture into the baking dish.
Bake the base, then add macerated strawberries and remaining crumble.
Bake for 55 minutes, covering with foil if needed.
Cool completely before slicing for neat edges.
Notes
For clean cuts, use a hot, dry knife.
