Ingredients
  

Protein

  • 1 LB Jumbo shrimp

Grains

  • 1 1/3 Cup Long grain rice

Broth

  • 2 2/3 Cups Chicken broth

Vegetables

  • 1/4 Cup Chopped onion
  • 1/4 Cup Chopped red pepper
  • 1/4 Cup Chopped green pepper

Dairy & Fats

  • 4 Tablespoons Butter

Seasonings

  • 1 Teaspoon Garlic chopped
  • 1 Tablespoon Cajun seasoning
  • 1/2 Tablespoon Onion powder
  • 1/2 Tablespoon Garlic powder
  • 1/2 Tablespoon Paprika
  • 1 Teaspoon Black pepper

Instructions
 

  • Mix all seasonings in a bowl and set aside.
  • Cook butter in a skillet over medium-high heat, then add garlic, peppers, and onions. Stir for 2 minutes.
  • Add rice and half of the Cajun seasoning, stir for 2 minutes, then pour in chicken broth and simmer covered for 15 minutes.
  • Season shrimp with olive oil and remaining seasoning, then add to the skillet. Cook for 5-7 minutes until pink and cooked through.
  • Mix well, adjust seasoning if desired, and serve hot.

Notes

Ensure not to overcook the shrimp to keep them tender.
