Honey Garlic Butter Steak and Rice Skillet

Ingredients
  

Meat

  • 1 lb steak, cut into strips

Grains

  • 1 cup uncooked rice

Broth

  • 2 cups beef broth

Sweeteners

  • 1/4 cup honey

Aromatics

  • 4 cloves garlic, minced

Sauces

  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce

Dairy

  • 1 tablespoon butter

Seasonings

  • to taste Salt and pepper

Instructions
 

  • Season steak with salt and pepper; sear for 3-4 minutes until browned. Remove and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté garlic for 1 minute.
  • Add honey, soy sauce, and bring to a simmer.
  • Stir in rice, add beef broth, and cook covered for 15 minutes until rice absorbs liquid.
  • Return steak to skillet, stir gently, and cook for 2-3 minutes. Garnish with parsley before serving.

Notes

For extra flavor, add chopped green onions or sesame seeds as garnish.
