Honey Garlic Butter Steak and Rice Skillet

Ingredients
  

Meat

  • 1 lb steak, cut into strips
  • 1 cup uncooked rice

Broth

  • 2 cups beef broth

Sweetener

  • 0.25 cup honey

Aromatics

  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon butter

Seasoning

  • to taste Salt and pepper

Instructions
 

  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Season steak with salt and pepper, then sear for 3-4 minutes until browned. Remove and set aside.
  • Reduce heat to medium, melt butter, and sauté minced garlic for 1 minute until fragrant.
  • Add honey, soy sauce, and bring to a simmer. Stir in uncooked rice to coat in sauce.
  • Pour in beef broth, bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 15 minutes until rice absorbs liquid.
  • Return steak to skillet, stir gently, and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes. Garnish with parsley before serving.

Notes

For extra flavor, add a splash of fresh parsley or green onions before serving.
