Ingredients
  

Dough

  • 1 cup warm water about 120°F
  • 0.25 oz active dry yeast
  • 1 tsp white granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp honey
  • 2 Tbsp olive oil
  • 2.5 to 3 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 4 Tbsp Fresh minced Italian Parsley
  • 4 Tbsp Fresh minced basil
  • 2 Tbsp Extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/2 cup Fresh grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions
 

  • Activate yeast in warm water with sugar for 5 minutes until frothy.
  • Mix yeast mixture with flour, salt, garlic, herbs, olive oil, and knead into a smooth dough. Let rise for 30 minutes.
  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Divide dough into 8 strips and shape into breadsticks.
  • Place breadsticks on a baking sheet, brush with olive oil, and sprinkle Parmesan cheese on top.
  • Bake for 15 minutes until golden brown. Serve warm.

Notes

For extra flavor, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the dough.
