Ingredients
  

Meat

  • 1 pound ground beef

Vegetables

  • 1 cup onion (diced)
  • 5 medium potatoes (thinly sliced)

Condiments

  • 1 tablespoon garlic (minced)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper

Canned Goods

  • 1 can (10.7 oz) condensed cream of mushroom soup with or without garlic added
  • 1 can (10.7 oz) condensed cream of chicken soup
  • 1 can (12 oz) evaporated milk
  • ½ cup milk
  • 2 cups shredded cheese

Miscellaneous

  • 1 spray cooking spray

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 375° and spray a 9x13 inch pan with cooking spray.
  • Cook beef, onions, and garlic in a skillet until beef is no longer pink; drain and season.
  • Layer potatoes in the pan, add half the beef, then half the soup mixture and cheese.
  • Repeat layers and top with remaining cheese.
  • Cover with tinfoil and bake for 1 hour; remove foil and bake for an additional 30 minutes.
  • Let stand for 10 minutes before slicing.

Notes

For extra flavor, consider adding herbs or spices to the beef mixture.
