  • 1 cup whole milk, warmed
  • 0.25 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tbsp red food coloring
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Filling Ingredients

  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 0.75 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 tbsp ground cinnamon
  • 0.5 cup mini chocolate chips (optional)

Frosting Ingredients

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 4 cups powdered sugar
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2-4 tbsp milk (to adjust consistency)

Instructions
 

  • Mix dry ingredients, then combine with wet ingredients to form a soft dough.
  • Knead the dough until smooth, then let it rise until doubled in size.
  • Prepare the filling, roll out the dough, and spread the filling evenly.
  • Roll the dough, slice into pieces, and let rise again.
  • Bake until golden brown, then prepare the frosting.
