Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake mozzarella in skull molds for 6-7 minutes, then cool.
Roast halved cherry tomatoes with olive oil, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes at 475°F (245°C) for 10-15 minutes.
Slice baguette into ½-inch pieces and toast at 375°F (190°C) for 8-10 minutes. Mix pesto with black food coloring.
Spread black pesto on toasted bread, then bake for another 8-10 minutes until edges are golden. Top with roasted tomatoes and mozzarella skulls.
Arrange on a platter, drizzle with balsamic glaze, and scatter fresh basil. Serve immediately.
Notes
For best results, prepare the mozzarella skulls ahead of time and assemble just before serving.
