  • 1 lb thinly sliced ribeye or sirloin beef
  • 4 cups cooked short-grain Japanese rice
  • 0.25 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp sake
  • 2 tbsp mirin
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar

Instructions
 

  • Slice the beef and cook the rice.
  • Stir-fry beef in a skillet over medium-high heat until browned (3-4 min).
  • Mix soy sauce, sake, mirin, and sugar; pour over beef and simmer 2 min.
  • Serve beef over rice, garnished with green onions or pickled ginger.
