  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 4 medium potatoes, peeled and sliced
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup milk
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Cook onion and ground beef in olive oil until browned; drain excess fat.
  • Mix mushroom soup, milk, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  • Layer potatoes, beef, and cheese in a greased dish; pour soup mixture over.
  • Bake covered for 45 minutes, then uncovered for 15 minutes until bubbly.

Notes

For a richer flavor, sprinkle extra cheese on top before baking.
