Ingredients
  

Meat

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups broccoli florets fresh or frozen
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce (or tamari)
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup beef broth or water
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch (optional) for thickening
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon grated ginger (optional)

For serving

  • as needed Cooked rice or quinoa

Instructions
 

  • Heat olive oil in a skillet, cook ground beef until browned (5-7 min).
  • Add onion and garlic; cook 3-4 min until softened.
  • Stir in broccoli, soy sauce, oyster sauce (if using), brown sugar, and broth. Thicken with cornstarch slurry if desired. Simmer 5-7 min until broccoli is tender.
  • Stir in sesame oil and ginger (if using). Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper.
  • Serve over cooked rice or quinoa. Enjoy!

Notes

Feel free to add more vegetables or adjust seasonings to taste.
