Ingredients
  

Chicken

  • 4 large boneless, skinless chicken breast halves
  • 1 cup plain yogurt or sour cream thinned with buttermilk
  • 0.75 cup cider vinegar
  • 0.25 cup canola or vegetable oil
  • 3 tablespoons ground cumin
  • 2 tablespoons curry powder
  • 2 teaspoons granulated garlic
  • 2 teaspoons kosher salt or 1 1/2 teaspoons regular salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 1 teaspoon ground cayenne pepper or sriracha
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger or grated ginger root

Instructions
 

  • Add all ingredients except chicken to a bag or bowl and mix to make marinade.
  • Pat chicken dry, cut into two even pieces lengthwise, and place in marinade. Seal and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight.
  • Preheat grill to high and oil racks. Remove chicken from marinade, shake off excess, and place on grill.
  • Grill covered for 4 minutes, flip, and cook until internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
  • Transfer to a platter, tent with foil, and serve.

Notes

Ensure chicken is cooked to the proper internal temperature for safety.
