Instructions
Mix yeast, sugar, and warm water; let sit 10 minutes until frothy.
Combine warm water, melted butter, salt, herbs, spices, and 2 cups of flour; add yeast mixture and remaining flour; knead until smooth.
Let dough rise in a greased bowl, covered, for 1 hour until doubled.
Divide dough into 18 pieces, shape into breadsticks, and let rise 30 minutes.
Preheat oven to 350℉. Bake breadsticks for 10 minutes, brush with garlic butter, then bake another 7-12 minutes until golden.
Notes
For extra flavor, sprinkle with additional herbs or cheese before baking.
