Garlic Butter Dinner Rolls

Ingredients
  

Dough

  • 220 ml warm milk (whole or skimmed)
  • 1.5 tsp sugar
  • 7 g active dry yeast
  • 3 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 large egg egg
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 400 g bread flour (or all purpose flour)
  • 1 egg egg for brushing
  • 1 tbsp butter (melted)
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley (chopped)

Instructions
 

  • Combine warm milk, yeast, and sugar; let stand 5 min until bubbly. Add oil, salt, and egg; mix well.
  • Mix liquid into flour; knead until smooth (~8-10 min). Cover and let rise 1-1.5 hrs until tripled.
  • Divide dough into 16 balls; place in buttered pan. Cover and let rise 30 min.
  • Brush with beaten egg; bake at 180°C (350°F) for 20-25 min until golden.
  • Melt butter with garlic; add chopped parsley. Brush rolls with garlic butter once baked.

Notes

For softer rolls, let them rise longer. Use fresh parsley for best flavor.
