2/3

granulated sugar
plus 3 tablespoons for rolling

all-purpose flour
spooned and leveled

vanilla extract

rainbow sprinkles or nonpareils for topping

Instructions
Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
Beat the softened butter and 2/3 cup of sugar until combined, then add flour and mix until a dough forms. Optionally blend in vanilla.
Scoop out 1-inch dough balls, roll in sugar, and place on baking sheets spaced 2 inches apart.
Flatten each dough ball with a glass and optionally sprinkle with toppings.
Bake for 14 to 16 minutes until edges are slightly golden, then cool on the baking sheet.
Notes
For best results, ensure butter is at room temperature before mixing.
