  • 4 pieces boneless chicken breasts or thighs Choose boneless for quick cooking and tender bites.
  • 4 cloves garlic Freshly minced to maximize flavor.
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter The rich base for the sauce.
  • 2 tbsp olive oil Helps brown the chicken.
  • 1 tsp salt For seasoning.
  • 1 tsp black pepper For seasoning.
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley Adds color and zest.
  • 1 cup long-grain white rice Fluffy and light.
  • 2 cups chicken broth Cooking liquid.
  • 1 pinch salt To season the rice.

Instructions
 

  • Cook rice in chicken broth with a pinch of salt until fluffy, about 15 minutes.
  • Meanwhile, season chicken with salt and pepper.
  • Heat olive oil in a skillet and cook chicken until golden and cooked through, about 6-8 minutes per side.
  • Remove chicken, then add butter and minced garlic to the skillet, cooking until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  • Slice the cooked chicken, return to skillet, and toss with garlic butter. Serve over rice, garnished with chopped parsley.

Notes

For extra flavor, add a squeeze of lemon or a sprinkle of red pepper flakes.
